Earth – Spring Freeze

Everyone knows that winters in New England can last long into March. But by April 5 this year, spring was beginning to spring! But Mother Nature wasn’t quite done with winter yet and that night we had a deep freeze here in CT making for a very cold – and breathtakingly beautiful morning. Before the sun had the chance to thaw everything, I grabbed my camera and ran out into the Connecticut College Arboretum to capture this fleeting moment in time.

This weeks photo challenge is Earth. And I just had to take the opportunity to share some of these photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them! If only I could insert the sound of the ice on the trees in the breeze, this post would be complete.
